Contact Lens Consultation
After a discussion about your lifestyle and needs, the Optician will advise you on what contact lenses would best suit your requirements.
They will put a pair of appropriate contact lenses in for you and then give you some time to get used to them outside of the practice environment. When you return to us after a few hours, we'll make sure the lenses are fitting correctly and are comfortable. If the lenses haven’t been to your satisfaction other lenses can be tried.
Once you have chosen the most suitable contact lenses, another appointment is booked where we will teach you how to wear, handle and care for them. We will also provide you with information on lens care to take away.
You will need an up-to-date prescription (within the last 12 months). If you had your sight test at Barnes Hazel we will already have a record of this. Otherwise, please bring a copy of your latest prescription with you. If you are due a sight test, our Optician will happily perform this as part of your contact lens trial. Make sure you let us know when you book your appointment as extra time is required.
