Children's Eye Test
At Barnes Hazel Opticians, we recognise the importance of children’s eye care. We offer Free NHS Eye examinations for children under 16 and for students under 19 in full-time education.
We understand that for some children, a visit to any health professional can be an overwhelming experience. Our Opticians are sympathetic to this and will ensure both the parents and children are relaxed and comfortable by explaining each test and result to you and answer any questions.
A child's eye test is different to an adult’s, as the number and type of tests performed will vary, depending on the age of your child.
If your child requires glasses we have a wide range of free frames to choose from. We also stock branded eyewear such as Ray-Ban and Oakley at a supplementary price. Daily disposable contact lenses can also be an option especially if your child plays any sports.
